Tyrone Bassmasters was established in the summer of 1982 with seven original members
The club currently has 25 members. Tyrone Bassmasters is affiliated with the PA Bass Federation and FLW. We fish 10 tournaments a year. We fish tournaments at Raystown Lake, Sayers Lake, Clarion River, as well as a tournament at Deep Creek, Maryland and Chautauqua, New York. Members accumulate points throughout the year. At the end of the year the club holds a "classic" tournament. Members are paired up by the points system for the Classic. The teams fish the two day Classic tournament. At the end of the second day of the Classic a small cookout is held. Prize money is paid out for every fish caught in the Classic. Money is paid per ounce. Every team who catches fish is guaranteed a pay out.
No Boat? No Problem!
Tyrone Bassmasters have both boaters and non-boaters (riders). Riders are teamed with boaters by a random draw. Non-boaters compete the same as the boaters. At the end of the season a "rider of the year" award is given out to the rider with the most points that year.
